Federal Skilled Worker program: How to apply for Canada PR via FSWP

A route to permanent residence (PR) status in Canada is through the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). FSWP, which was established in 1967, is one of the most well-liked ways for skilled workers to earn Canadian permanent residence.

Program for Federal Skilled Workers Eligibility

The FSWP requires a multi-step procedure to enter Canada. Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

a minimum of one year of professional job experience
a minimum score of 7 on an English or French language test using the Canadian Language Benchmark
at least one academic qualification
Prove you have the money (if applicable)
Obtain at least 67 points out of 100 on the FSWP score grid After that, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) evaluates candidates based on the following six selection criteria:

Job experience, education, language proficiency, age, arranged employment, and adaptability components that take into account things like a favourable opinion of arranged employment, the education of the spouse, family ties in Canada, post-secondary study, and work experience in Canada

Additionally, candidates must obtain the required minimum number of points provided by IRCC. The passing score was last set at 67 points on September 18, 2003.

Evidence of money (Proof of Funds)

Additionally, candidates must show they have the resources to sustain their family and themselves in case of need. If a candidate is employed in Canada already or has a legitimate employment offer, this does not apply to them.

The required minimum amount will change based on the number of applicants.

With a letter from your bank or other financial institution, you can provide proof of funds. The letter must, however, include information on accounts, loans, debts, and the average balance over the previous six months.
